MSF briefing on Gaza to UN Security Council

Christopher Lockyear, Secretary General of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), has today given a briefing to the United Nations Security Council, calling on them to demand an immediate and sustained ceasefire in Gaza, Palestine. Addressing the Council at its monthly meeting on Gaza, Mr Lockyear also called for the unequivocal protection of medical facilities, staff, and patients.

Christopher Lockyear, Generalsekretär von Ärzte ohne Grenzen (MSF), hat heute dem Sicherheitsrat der Vereinten Nationen eine Anweisung ausgesprochen und ihn aufgefordert, einen sofortigen und dauerhaften Waffenstillstand in Gaza, Palästina, zu fordern. In seiner Ansprache an den Rat auf dessen monatlicher Gaza-Sitzung forderte Herr Lockyear außerdem den uneingeschränkten Schutz von medizinischen Einrichtungen, Personal und Patienten.
